Description **
The Epiphone Casino Coupe in Sunburst is a small hollowbody with big character - light, resonant, and just right for blues, jazz, and rhythm work. It feels familiar right away, plays buttery smooth, and delivers that percussive Casino tone that’s simply fun.
This wonderful Casino Coupe is basically the Casino concept in a more compact format: a smaller body (roughly like a 339), but unmistakably Casino in character. And if “Casino” doesn’t mean much to you yet: it’s a hollowbody without a center block - so it’s beautifully open and resonant.
Played acoustically (without an amp) it’s fairly loud - not necessarily “hi-fi pretty,” but perfect for couch playing and just enjoying the feel of the instrument. Plugged in, things get really interesting: punchy, direct, and percussive, with that airy touch only a true hollowbody can give you. With the P90s and the resonant body it’s not the first choice if you want to stand in front of a cranked Marshall stack - but if you play blues, jazz, or you’re after a Beatles-style rhythm guitar: here she is.
We leveled the frets, did a light touch-up on the nut, and dialed in both intonation and action properly. It now plays beautifully - and the Sunburst finish keeps the look classic and timeless.
Bottom line: a great Casino Coupe with normal signs of use, in very good condition - and currently no longer available new.
