We love guitars and music

We collect, exchange, buy and sell used guitars.

We focused on used, affordable instruments.
We check and, if necessary, also rework the guitars so that they

They are easy to play, sound good, and are of high quality.

We mostly sell online here through our website or through Reverb and

We then ship the instruments well-packaged worldwide. We offer

but also a detailed consultation in our store by appointment.

The purchase is usually made in person, but also online.

We sometimes buy entire collections.

We have a 180m² shop in Schönwald in the Fichtel Mountains:

  • We constantly have approximately 150 used electric guitars in stock, ready to test.

  • many different amps to test and a sound booth

  • a large workshop for all repairs to electric guitars

  • a 350m² guitar-making workshop for the production of customer instruments

  • In-house paint shop, also for nitrocellulose lacquers

A good instrument is a joy to play!

We're interested in affordable, good-quality guitars that people can actually play. We love restoring, customizing, and perhaps even technically improving such instruments so they can rival their more expensive counterparts. There are some excellent instruments to be found, especially in the lower and middle price ranges.

  • which often gather dust in living rooms or bedroom closets and have not experienced the vibration of the strings for years.

  • they were bought for a beginner or as decoration, as a birthday present for someone who used to play and whose partner or family thinks they should start again,

  • but also instruments that have been played by musicians in a dance band for decades, often by singers who don't place much value on brand and image.

  • There are also the guitars that people started learning with and which, for sentimental reasons (because it was often their first electric guitar), they don't want to give away until their partner points out that there are already five guitars in the house, there's no more room, and one or two instruments have to go.

There are truly many different stories associated with an instrument: long and short, moving, but also sometimes boring. In our experience, these types of guitars often have a far more moving history than most custom shop models from the major brands.

We love learning about history!

Amps

We don't actually sell amplifiers, but we do have amps available for testing on-site: Marshall, Vox, modelers, 80s transistor amps, 5W tube amps, and more. Sometimes we take an amp in part exchange, which we then also offer for sale. We have a few common stompboxes in stock, but we don't specialize in them.

We'd be happy to arrange a meeting and jam a bit over coffee and exchange ideas.

Guitar Brands

We are especially interested in the following brands:

Play It

Epiphone – preferably from Korea or the Czech Republic

We believe that Epiphone has always produced instruments with an outstanding price-performance ratio. They're absolutely usable, playable, and reliable – suitable for both beginners and professional musicians alike. Some models come surprisingly close to the originals from parent company Gibson. And a few are truly unique to Epiphone itself, like the iconic Casino.

Monotone

Squier

It’s similar with Squier as it is with Epiphone. There are some fantastic guitars – especially from the '80s and '90s, but also from more recent times – that often only fall short of their parent company Fender’s originals when it comes to the pickups. The Japanese-made models are often even better than the ones from the U.S. With a bit of work on the frets and electronics, you can easily save yourself 50% of the cost.

Power Chord

Custom Built Guitars

There are – and have been – many small manufacturers, often individual luthiers, who have created incredibly fine instruments in the upper price range. Used prices for these guitars are often far below their actual quality and value. We're actively looking for instruments like these!

They often come with a story — even if it's simply the vision of the original customer who wanted the perfect guitar for themselves. Many of these pieces are truly outstanding. In fact, several innovative ideas from large guitar brands have their roots in the work of these small, independent workshops.
