Electric Guitars to Play

We collect, trade, buy, and sell used guitars.

Epiphone · Fender · Gibson · Harley Benton · Squier · etc.

We’re especially interested in affordable, good-quality guitars — instruments that anyone can afford and that are meant to be played. We love restoring, upgrading, and sometimes even improving these guitars so they can rival their high-end counterparts.

There are some truly excellent instruments in the lower and mid-price ranges — often forgotten in living rooms or buried in bedroom closets, their strings silent for years.
They were bought for beginners or as decoration,
given as birthday gifts to someone who “used to play” and who, according to their family or partner, should start again.
Some were gigged hard in dance bands for decades, usually by singers who didn’t care about brand names or image.
And then there are the sentimental first guitars — the ones people can’t bring themselves to sell,
until their partner gently points out there are already five guitars in the house and it’s time to let one or two go.

Every guitar comes with a story — some long, some short, some touching, and yes, some boring.
But in our experience, these kinds of instruments often carry far more meaningful stories than most big-brand custom shop models.

We love getting to know those stories.

Amps

We’ve got amps on site for testing: Marshall, Vox, modelers, ’80s solid-state, 5-watt tube amps, and more.
We’re happy to set up a meeting — let’s have a coffee, jam a little, and talk guitars!

Guitar Brands

We are especially interested in the following brands:

Play It

Epiphone – preferably from Korea or the Czech Republic

We believe that Epiphone has always produced instruments with an outstanding price-performance ratio. They're absolutely usable, playable, and reliable – suitable for both beginners and professional musicians alike. Some models come surprisingly close to the originals from parent company Gibson. And a few are truly unique to Epiphone itself, like the iconic Casino.

Monotone

Squier

It’s similar with Squier as it is with Epiphone. There are some fantastic guitars – especially from the '80s and '90s, but also from more recent times – that often only fall short of their parent company Fender’s originals when it comes to the pickups. The Japanese-made models are often even better than the ones from the U.S. With a bit of work on the frets and electronics, you can easily save yourself 50% of the cost.

Power Chord

Custom Built Guitars

There are – and have been – many small manufacturers, often individual luthiers, who have created incredibly fine instruments in the upper price range. Used prices for these guitars are often far below their actual quality and value. We're actively looking for instruments like these!

They often come with a story — even if it's simply the vision of the original customer who wanted the perfect guitar for themselves. Many of these pieces are truly outstanding. In fact, several innovative ideas from large guitar brands have their roots in the work of these small, independent workshops.
