1. Why WoodVolts Guitars? We specialize in affordable, used instruments that we truly believe become reliable tools for practicing, live playing, and performing after our professional overhaul. Every guitar is thoroughly inspected. When needed, we level the frets, fix what needs fixing, and perform a full basic setup with .009–.042 strings. Personal adjustments—like action height—can be tailored to your preferences. Especially with many budget guitars, **proper fretwork, a well-cut nut, and a refined bridge** are the secret ingredients that take both playability and tone to a whole new level—sometimes right into the feel of far more expensive instruments. Our goal is always to offer an instrument that plays beautifully and functions flawlessly. This work is reflected in our prices, which often place us at the upper end of the market value—or, in some cases, even above the original retail price.
2. Why buy a used guitar? Many guitars simply hang on a wall collecting dust or spend years in a case without being touched. We think that’s a real shame — so we bring them back to life. Give a great guitar a second chance — for the music and for the planet!
3. How do I buy a guitar from WoodVolts? Every guitar has an inquiry button. Just click it, fill out the form completely, send it off… and that’s it. If you have any questions or would like a video call to see the instrument again, simply note it in the form. You’ll then receive an invoice, and once the payment has been received, we ship the instrument well-packed and insured with DHL across the EU. Or you can schedule an appointment with us and test — and buy — the guitar directly in our shop.
4. Is shipping possible? Yes, we ship EU-wide with insured DHL shipping. A hard case or gig bag can be added on request (additional cost). Worldwide shipping is also possible on request (price & conditions depend on region and instrument).
5. Kann ich die Gitarre vorher testen? JA! Du bist herzlich eingeladen bei uns vorbeizuschauen und die Instrumente deiner Wahl ganz in Ruhe zu testen - in unserer Schallkabine mit verschiedenen Amps oder ganz entspannt auf dem Sofa, auch gern mit deinem Backing-Track. Wir bereiten Dir die Gitarren vor und lassen dich hier absolut in Ruhe spielen. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt sind keine weiteren Kunden da! Wir finden, das ist der beste Weg wirklich das richtige Instrument für sich zu finden! Beispiel: Du suchst eine 335-Style Halbakustik? Wir haben in der Regel über 20 verschiedene Modelle von verschiedenen Styles vor Ort. Mal ehrlich - wo sonst kannst Du aus so vielen gebrauchten Gitarren eines Typs in Ruhe auswählen, ohne Verkaufsdruck und mit ehrlichem Feedback? Komm vorbei und spiel dich durch!
6. Wie kann ich einen Test-Termin buchen? Telefonisch, per E-Mail oder unterm Menü "Gitarren" findest du ein Test-Termin Buchen Button. Auch findest du bei jede Gitarre unterm Abschnitt "How to buy" ganz unten einen direkten Link.
7. Ist der Test-Termin kostenlos? Dieser Service ist erstmal nicht kostenlos. Warum? Wir nehmen uns richtig Zeit für Dich - Der Raum und das Equipment wird vorbereitet - Und der Termin ist nur für Dich exklusiv. Eine kleine Gebühr von 30,- € zeigt, dass du es ernst meinst und verhindert unnötige Absagen auf den letzten Drücker. Wichtig! Bei Kauf einer Gitarre ziehen wir natürlich diese Gebühr vom Preis ab! Also: Kein Risiko - nur echtes Interesse zählt!
