Description **
A used standard Epiphone DOT ES-339 from 2016 – in the Vintage Sunburst (VS) finish. The 339 is perfect for anyone who loves the feel of a semi-hollow, but finds a 335 too bulky. In terms of body size it’s only a bit larger than a Les Paul, and dimension-wise it’s identical to a Casino Coupe – which means it sits super comfortably against your body. Weight? Usually just over 3 kg – a real blessing for your back on stage, too.
The neck is a medium D, feels great in the hand, and the fingerboard seems a touch wider than on a Les Paul with a 60s neck. From the factory, the fretwork isn’t exactly amazing – so we really got hands-on here: properly leveled, polished, and perfectly set up. Now it plays as smoothly as it should.
The Epiphone ProBucker 2 & 3 do their job with punch and warmth. The electronics are more on the standard side, but absolutely functional.
