Epiphone Marcus Henderson Apparition is a no-compromise metal machine with rare Korean-made status, EMG power and an ultra-flat neck. Futuristic looks, Floyd Rose and kill button – built to escalate.
This breathtaking guitar is based on Gibson’s legendary space-age design from 1958 – the Explorer. For this model, the concept was modernized and developed into the more aggressive Futura shape.
Here we have one of the first Marcus Henderson Apparition models from 2009 – Made in Korea.

“Marcus Henderson Apparition
Marcus Henderson is the heavy metal guitarist behind many of the guitar parts in the ‘Guitar Hero’ video game series. His signature guitar, the ‘Apparition’, features a body shape reminiscent of an Explorer or Futura and comes with a unique patent-pending All-Access™ heel contour as well as powerful pickups – perfect for any ‘Guitar Hero’. The active EMG-81 and EMG-85 pickups are controlled by a master volume and master tone control, plus a 3-way pickup selector switch. A spring-loaded kill button comes as standard and allows the player to create impressive effects – especially in combination with the double-locking Original Floyd Rose tremolo. An ebony fingerboard and solid metal controls with mother-of-pearl inserts stylishly complete the guitar’s Midnight Ebony finish.”
The guitar has been played, but is overall in very good condition – definitely not worn out. It has one or two small chips, but apart from that it presents itself really well.
The ultra-flat SpeedTaper neck is a dream, especially in combination with the ebony fingerboard. Together with the Floyd Rose, this guitar offers serious playing potential.
We freshly leveled and polished the frets and gave the guitar a complete setup. Now it plays extremely clean, direct and precise.
