Epiphone Goth G-400 Satin Black is an SG like a stealth fighter – black, direct and built to rock. An honest rock machine with a dark look and a really great playing feel.
The Epiphone SG Goth G-400 is a true stealth fighter in black-on-black. It feels like a special tool for special missions – and that is exactly how it plays. This thing really takes off.
Here is the original text from the 2007 Epiphone catalogue:
“Tonally distinctive, totally comfortable and built for speed, finished in Satin Black with all-black hardware with some crazy-hot open coil humbuckers. It’s back in black!”
The open humbuckers deliver a powerful, mid-focused sound – perfect for hard rock, power chords and everything that needs to move forward.
The C neck sits solidly in the hand and plays very comfortably. Classic SG feel with good control and direct response.
It has signs of use and a repaired scratch on the inside of the lower horn. The hardware is in good condition – overall, it is rarely found this well preserved for a Goth.
The frets showed hardly any wear, but we still freshly levelled and polished them and gave the guitar a complete setup. The result: smooth playability and very good string action.
An honest SG with a special look and lots of character.
