Description **
This stunning Goldtop is a true blues and rock machine. Condition? Mint, with only very light signs of use. Especially beautiful is the grain of the mahogany back, which really stands out on this limited edition thanks to the transparent finish on the rear.
It was built in 2010 at the Qingdao factory in China – solid quality, just as you’d expect from this series. The neck has a chunky ’50s profile, sits firmly in the hand, and is simply great fun to play.
The P90s are – as so often with Epiphone – an absolute force. Nice and open, warm, and bitey when you need it. The key is: set them up correctly! Especially turning the B-string pole screw in a little – and you’ll nail that perfect sweet spot between humbucker and single coil.
The tuners seem to have been upgraded to quality Grovers – they turn buttery smooth and hold tuning perfectly.
