Ausgestattet mit einem Mahagoni-Hals mit SlimTaper™-Profil, einem Mahagoni-Korpus, einem Ebenholz-Griffbrett, einer wunderschönen natürlichen Koa-Decke und den von der Fachwelt hochgelobten ProBucker™ Humbucker™-Tonabnehmern. Dazu kommen goldene Hardware im Les Paul Custom-Stil, Grover® Rotomatic® Stimmmechaniken mit Verhältnis 18:1, CTS®-Potis, vollständig gebundener Korpus, Hals und Kopfplatte, Graph Tech®-Sattel und Perlglanz-Inlays. Optional ist ein Hartschalenkoffer oder eine EpiLite™ Tasche erhältlich.“

Diese Paula ist fast neuwertig, mit nur wenigen Spielspuren und ohne grobe Beschädigungen. Auch die empfindliche goldene Hardware ist noch sehr schön erhalten.

Mit ihren ca. 4,08 kg ist sie eine richtige Custom-Paula – und klingt auch so. Die ProBucker 2 und 3 machen einen richtig guten Job und lassen sich zusätzlich splitten, was die Gitarre klanglich sehr vielseitig macht.

Vor allem die Optik ist etwas Besonderes. Die natürliche Koa-Decke in Verbindung mit der goldenen Hardware, dem Ebenholz-Griffbrett und dem Custom-Binding strahlt eine unglaubliche Wärme aus – fast wie ein edles Möbelstück, nur eben mit ordentlich Rock ’n’ Roll.

Den Hals würden wir trotz der offiziellen SlimTaper-Bezeichnung eher als flaches D-Profil mit etwas Fleisch an den Flanken beschreiben. Er liegt hervorragend in der Hand und spielt sich sehr angenehm.

Die Bünde hatten praktisch keine Spielspuren, mussten aber trotzdem sauber nivelliert werden, da das Werks-Fretwork nicht optimal war. Wir haben die Bünde deshalb nivelliert, recrowned und poliert und der Gitarre anschließend ein umfangreiches Setup gegönnt.
