Epiphone Les Paul Jared James Nichols „Gold Glory“ ist eine kompromisslose Rock-Maschine mit nur einem Ziel: Druck nach vorne. Eine ehrliche, direkte Paula mit Charakter, die sich roh, kraftvoll und lebendig anfühlt - wie eine Lokomotive ohne Bremse.
Die Jared James Nichols „Gold Glory“ ist die goldene Schwester der schwarzen „Old Glory“ - das Signature-Modell eines Gitarristen, der für puren, unverfälschten Rock steht.
Basis ist ein klassischer Les Paul Custom-Korpus im 1955er-Stil, veredelt mit einem markanten Double Gold Aged Finish in seidenmatter Optik. Kein Bling-Bling, sondern Charakter.
Verbaut ist ein einzelner Seymour Duncan P-90 Dogear an der Bridge - mehr braucht es hier nicht. Ein Pickup, ein Statement. Direkt, offen, druckvoll. Der Ton kommt ohne Umwege - rau, ehrlich und mit ordentlich Schub.
Der kräftige 50s-Hals im runden C-Shape liegt satt in der Hand. Da hat man wirklich „was zu greifen“. Zusammen mit dem Ebenholzgriffbrett und den Block-Inlays wirkt das Ganze edel, aber nicht geschniegelt - eher wie ein Arbeitstier im Maßanzug.
Die Bünde waren nahezu neuwertig, dennoch gab es ab Werk leichtes Fretbuzz. Wir haben sie sauber abgerichtet und der Gitarre ein sorgfältiges Setup gegönnt. Jetzt spielt sie sich butterweich, direkt und absolut kontrolliert.
Optisch wie technisch ist sie in einem nahezu neu Zustand – kaum Spielspuren, sehr gepflegt.
