Description **
This Epiphone Les Paul Special Double Cut is not a mass-produced model. It’s a 1994 Korean-made guitar and is now one of the sought-after rarities – especially among players who really know what they’ve got in their hands.
We swapped the original, quite decent P90s for a set of Tonerider Vintage P90s. This makes the guitar sound clearer in the highs, more articulate in the attack, and less muddy in the low end – a real upgrade. The set costs around €100, installation €40. On top of that, we leveled and polished the frets and did a full setup.
The neck feels great in the hand with its slightly D-shaped profile – medium thickness, nicely shaped, and very comfortable to play. With its pleasantly light weight, this Double Cut delivers an authentic P90 tone that doesn’t have to hide and isn’t far off from its USA siblings.
Overall it’s in very good condition: honest play wear, but no major damage. A really great Double Cut for rock, blues, and punk.
