Diese Epiphone Les Paul Special Double Cut stammt aus dem Jahr 1995 und wurde in Korea gebaut - kein Massenmodell, sondern ein heute gesuchter 90er-Jahre-Jahrgang, den Kenner sehr schätzen.
Der Hals hat ein eher flaches D-Profil, liegt hervorragend in der Hand und ist sehr angenehm geshaped. Kein Baseballschläger, sondern ausgewogen und gut kontrollierbar - perfekt für Rock-Riffs, Blues-Licks oder rotzigen Punk.
Mit ihrem angenehmen Gewicht von ca. 3,55 kg ist sie gut ausbalanciert und liefert genau diesen authentischen P90-Ton: offen, direkt, mit schöner Mittenpräsenz und genau dem richtigen Biss.
Die Bünde haben wir frisch abgerichtet und poliert, dazu ein komplettes Setup gemacht. Sie spielt sich jetzt sauber und sehr angenehm - genau so, wie man es von einer guten Double Cut erwartet.
Optisch ist sie klar Player Grade. Ehrliche Spielspuren, Dings und Dongs - natürlich gealtert, könnte man sagen. Keine Vitrinengitarre, sondern ein Instrument mit Vergangenheit und Charakter.
