This Epiphone Les Paul Special is not a mass-produced model – it was only built in 2010 and 2011 and is now a sought-after rarity. People who know, know what they’re holding here.
And important: don’t confuse it with the later TV Yellow Special from the 2020s with a wraparound bridge – this one is the clearly more refined version with a Tune-o-Matic bridge and stop bar, and a true ’60s slim neck.
The slim neck feels amazing in the hand – perfectly shaped and wonderfully fast to play. It’s pleasantly light, and with its original Epiphone P90s it simply sounds fantastic: fat, open, with exactly the right amount of bite and character.
The build quality is top, everything feels solid and honest – a true player’s Paula that convinces through its simple design. We set it up nicely, the frets are in very good condition, and it plays buttery smooth.
A few small finish chips here and there (totally normal with this thin finish), but otherwise in really nice condition. A guitar with soul – and a lot of mojo.
