Description **
This truly wonderful guitar is based on Gibson’s legendary 1958 space-age design - the Explorer. Back then it was far ahead of its time; today it’s an absolute classic. This one is an Epiphone Limited Edition Korina Explorer, built in 2017. Thanks to the classy Korina wood, it’s relatively lightweight - and that really matters on an Explorer, where there’s a lot of wood involved.
It has been played, but it’s in a very good, well-kept “living-room” condition - definitely not beaten up. No chips, no major dings or dents. Under the hood you’ll find an Epiphone ’57 Classic in the neck position and an Epiphone HOT humbucker at the bridge - a strong combination that delivers fat, punchy tones. It has that honest, raw sound that sits perfectly between classic rock, hard rock, and blues.
We’ve leveled and polished the frets and dialed everything in with an optimal setup - now it plays like a dream. The neck feels great in the hand with its flat D profile. A guitar that just wants to rock right away - and once you start, you won’t want to stop… yep, it’s one of those.
