A really fine SG from the legendary Unsung factory in Korea – built in 2006. This version has been lovingly modified and comes with plenty of vibe!
The neck has a classic medium profile – not too thin, not too chunky. The Koreans really did a great job here; the build quality simply feels more premium than the later Indo or China models.
The large pickguard is the classic 1966 SG style! So this G-400 has been reworked – but with taste: the big pickguard combined with classy Gibson vintage tuners. The cheaper G-310 also has the large pickguard – don’t mix them up.
The tuners replace the original Grovers for a more authentic vintage feel – visually and in terms of vibe, a real upgrade.
It sounds wonderfully balanced, open, and full of character – exactly the way you want an SG to sound.
Overall, the condition is very good. Only a few signs of use, one small screw hole under the pickguard (from the old pickguard, barely noticeable), otherwise nothing major. It has history – but the good kind!
If you’re looking for an SG with character, vintage charm, and Korean quality that plays buttery smooth and looks a bit special – here it is!
