Epiphone SG G-400 2005 with EMG HZ is an honest player-grade SG with punch and a clear focus on rock and metal. Direct, biting and, after our work, really great to play.
Here we have a really nice player-grade Epiphone SG G-400 from Chinese production – in black, which is not that easy to find.
It is equipped with passive EMG HZ humbuckers, delivering a powerful, mid-focused sound – ideal for hard rock and metal. Open, biting and with plenty of push.
The Medium C neck sits solidly in the hand and plays very comfortably. Classic SG feel with good control.
It has signs of use and a few repaired finish chips – typical marks from a real musician’s life. Apart from that, there are no major issues. The hardware is in good condition.
The frets showed hardly any wear, but we still freshly levelled and polished them and gave the guitar a complete setup. The result: very good string action and smooth, easy playability.
