Description **
This high-quality special-edition SG from Korean production, with its rather chunky neck profile, feels fantastic in the hand. The Korean ones are simply a bit different from the China or Indo SGs. I find them higher quality – both in craftsmanship and in the materials.
It has binding around the fingerboard and USA-designed Alnico humbuckers with upgraded electronics. Great action, and with its medium frets it plays really nicely. It’s a classic in Worn Brown (matte transparent brown) with trapezoid inlays on the fingerboard.
This Worn Brown finish is, personally, THE SG outfit for me – and with the neck binding I instantly slip into the Australian school uniform.
The pickups sound balanced, wonderfully powerful, and brilliant. State of the art for an SG. It has only light signs of use on the back of the body and on the pickguard. Below the bridge there are a few tiny little dents. With the ultra-thin finish these models are sensitive – you can’t “scratch it away,” dents stay dents.
A wonderful SG that plays buttery smooth and sounds exactly the way you expect.
