Description **

A well-played example of the legendary Epiphone Sheraton II in Ebony – and the moment you pick it up, you can tell right away: it’s ready to go again! The Sheraton is considered Epiphone’s luxury version of the 335/DOT – with beautiful headstock inlays, gold hardware, refined fingerboard inlays, and binding around the neck that instantly gives it an elegant look.

This one is in original condition and comes with a great story: the previous owner was a dance band musician from Upper Palatinate. He bought it new in 1999 and played it regularly on stage all those years. You could clearly read those many, many live hours from the frets.

We leveled and polished the frets, and we intentionally removed only as much material as necessary. Because of two or three tiny notches we didn’t want to take off more – you can’t feel them when playing, and this way there’s plenty of “meat” left for the future. Now everything is back in great shape.

Tonally it’s really versatile – from warm jazz tones to punchy blues leads to clear, bell-like cleans. The original pickups are totally fine and fit the character of the guitar perfectly. The neck, with its flat D-shape, sits wonderfully in the hand, plays buttery smooth, and feels very comfortable overall.

Of course it has patina and signs of use – but you can also see that despite the stage use it was always well looked after. The gold hardware shows visible patina, and the gold plating is largely worn off at the bridge pickup, the “wings,” and the stop tailpiece. There are lots of play marks on the top, and on the back as well.
In short: a real player with history in the wood.
