Description **
Here we have a guitar that’s rightly highly praised in the online community – the Harley Benton Fusion III. Design-wise it strongly напоминает the superstrats of the ’90s, just without a Floyd Rose. The coil split is elegantly handled via the push/pull tone pot; on the Fusion II there was still a separate mini switch for that.
Back then, most models didn’t yet have roasted necks and tended to feature flatter D profiles – here, by contrast, you get a nice, balanced C profile that feels really comfortable in the hand. Thanks to the matte satin finish, the neck feels super smooth – no sticking, no gloss, simply perfect for playing.
The tremolo works well, and the pickups are really well matched: the humbucker has a fat push, the single coils sound clear, open, and very Strat-like – exactly how it should be. Sonically it’s great, and visually even more so: Dacota Blue is simply an eye-catcher.
Hans Thomann really thought this through – from the design to the features, nothing was cheaped out on.
All we did was lightly file the nut and adjust the action – nothing more was necessary. It’s hardly been played, practically like new, with only minimal signs of use.
A modern, versatile Strat alternative with great feel, top playability, and a sound that’s seriously fun.
