Höfner HCT Colorama II P90 Double Cut ist eine ehrliche Player-Gitarre mit 60s-Charakter und eigenem Gesicht. Sie fühlt sich vertraut an wie eine Double Cut, klingt rau und direkt und bringt genau diesen unkomplizierten Rock’n’Roll-Vibe mit.
Die ursprüngliche Höfner Colorama war in den 50er- und 60er-Jahren Höfners meistverkaufte E-Gitarre. Dieser moderne Reissue greift genau diesen Spirit wieder auf. Eine richtig charmante Gitarre: Sie erinnert optisch an eine LP Double Cut, fühlt sich ähnlich an und klingt vor allem so.
Die typischen Höfner-Inlays im 60s-Style machen sofort klar, dass es hier kein Gibson- oder Epiphone-Klon ist, sondern ein eigenständiges Modell mit Geschichte.
Der Hals hat ein flaches 60s-C-Profil und spielt sich angenehm direkt und unkompliziert. Die Höfner-P90-Pickups überraschen mit Klarheit, Druck und schönem Crunch. Kein High-Gain-Brett, sondern ehrlicher, dynamischer Ton mit Charakter - perfekt für Rock, Blues oder Indie.
Das Metallic-Bordeaux-Finish steht ihr sehr gut und verleiht ihr eine edle Note. Dieses Modell wurde nicht lange gebaut und war ursprünglich im unteren Preissegment angesiedelt – klanglich und vom Spielgefühl her kann sie aber deutlich mehr, als man vermutet.
Wir haben die Bünde abgerichtet und der Gitarre ein komplettes Setup gegönnt. Jetzt spielt sie sich sauber, direkt und absolut zuverlässig.
Sie ist viel gespielt worden - besonders auf der Rückseite mit sichtbaren Dings und Dongs. Die Vorderseite ist deutlich besser erhalten. Eine echte Player-Gitarre, keine Vitrinenware.
