JET JS-380 - Olympic White, Gold RW Modded, 2018 - used

The JET JS-380 in Olympic White with gold hardware is a really elegant S-style guitar. It combines a roasted Canadian maple neck with a rosewood fretboard, bone nut, and poplar body – a specification you would not necessarily expect in this price range.

The locking tuners are factory-installed and provide very good tuning stability.

On the early JS-380 models, the original ceramic pickups were replaced with the significantly higher-quality Roswell Modern Alnico V single coils. They sound open, clear, and powerful and suit the character of the guitar extremely well.

Visually, it has also been upgraded with a pearloid pickguard and tremolo cover, giving it an even more refined appearance. It has also been fitted with two roller string trees.

The factory fretwork was already decent, although four frets were sitting slightly high. We therefore carefully leveled and recrowned those frets and then polished all the frets. The guitar also received a complete setup. It now plays beautifully smooth with a very comfortable action.

The tremolo is set up flat against the body. Unfortunately, the tremolo arm is no longer present.

The roasted maple neck with its Modern C profile and satin finish feels excellent in the hand – not too thick, not too thin, simply just right.

In terms of price, it is a budget S-style guitar, but in terms of playing feel and build quality, it easily competes in a considerably higher league.

The condition is excellent, with only minimal signs of use. The guitar was modified by the previous owner.
