Description **
The JET JS-400 Relic combines genuine vintage vibe with modern playing comfort. It is super lightweight, almost like new, and thanks to its HSS pickup configuration, it covers everything from crystal-clear clean sounds to powerful rock tones.
The clear highlight is the relic finish. The ultra-thin lacquer on the poplar body gives the guitar a very lively feel, while the matte Sea Foam Green works beautifully with the subtly aged hardware. The aging is tastefully done and feels pleasantly authentic.
JET is known for surprisingly good build quality and is rightly praised online – and we can only confirm that.
The fretwork was already decent, although a few frets were sitting slightly high. We therefore carefully leveled those frets and then polished all the frets to a high gloss. The guitar also received a complete setup.
The 2-point tremolo works smoothly and reliably. The roasted maple neck with rosewood fretboard and Modern C profile feels excellent in the hand – not too thick, not too thin, simply just right. The neck has a high-gloss finish. It also features nicely rounded fretboard edges, adding an extra touch of high-quality vintage feel.
The guitar has barely been played and is in almost mint condition. An instrument that impressively shows just how much quality is possible in this price range today.
