Description **
JET JS-480 BKG Black RW is one of those Jet guitars you pick up and immediately think: “This one is already done.” Gold hardware, locking tuners, Alnico V – it feels like an upgraded Power Strat, but without the modification hassle.
JET JS-480 in Black RW – a really classy Power Strat with gold hardware. And the cool thing is: it basically already comes with all the upgrades “from the factory” that you would often add to a JS-400 to take it to another level.
Locking tuners, Alnico V pickups, roasted poplar body, roasted Canadian maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and bone nut – so it is really nicely equipped. As is typical for Jet, the workmanship is strong, and this one simply feels complete.
The factory fretwork is excellent, the 2-point tremolo works cleanly, and the guitar feels really good in the hand. Price-wise, it is clearly a budget Strat – but in terms of playing feel, it can easily keep up with much more expensive player models, especially once it has been properly set up.
The roasted maple neck with its Modern C profile and satin finish feels very pleasant: not too thick, not too thin – it simply fits. On top of that, the nicely rounded fingerboard edges give it a slight vintage touch.
It is in like-new condition, practically unplayed, and has received a complete setup from us. An instrument that shows how much quality is possible in this price range today – and one you simply enjoy picking up.
