Diese Phil Pro Strat ist ein wirklich seltenes Teil aus Korea. Über die Marke findet man nur wenige Informationen, wir gehen von einer Produktion Ende der 90er Jahre aus.
Die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut, die Form erinnert stark an die Ibanez S-Serie. Auch der fünfteilig aufgebaute Hals orientiert sich an diesen superflachen Ibanez-Profilen – schnell, direkt und sehr angenehm spielbar.
Das Wilkinson-Tremolo ist nach oben geblockt (kann jederzeit wieder freigegeben werden) und arbeitet in Verbindung mit den Locking-Tunern sehr zuverlässig. Die Pickups klingen klar und druckvoll – definitiv keine Billigware.
Wir haben die Bünde abgerichtet, das Tremolo sauber justiert und alles eingestellt. Jetzt spielt sie sich sehr gut und macht richtig Druck.
Optisch ist sie ein echter Hingucker, spielerisch absolut überzeugend.

Allgemeine Infos zur Marke Phil Pro
Phil Pro war eine Marke der südkoreanischen Myung Sung Musical Company Limited, die in den 1990er und frühen 2000er Jahren verschiedene Instrumente produzierte – darunter E-Gitarren, Akustikgitarren, Bässe und Mandolinen.
Die Serie umfasste Modelle mit versetzten Double-Cutaway-Korpussen, geschraubten Hälsen und Double-Locking-Tremolo-Systemen.
Obwohl ein Vertrieb in den USA angestrebt wurde, wurden die Instrumente dort vermutlich nie offiziell angeboten. In Deutschland hingegen waren Phil Pro-Gitarren erhältlich und wurden von Musikern geschätzt.
Einige Modelle waren mit hochwertigen Komponenten wie Seymour Duncan Pickups ausgestattet und zeigten besondere Designmerkmale, etwa eingelegte Abalone-Adler.
Gefertigt wurde überwiegend in Südkorea, günstigere Varianten teilweise auch in China.
Heute tauchen Phil Pro-Gitarren immer wieder auf dem Gebrauchtmarkt auf und werden von Spielern geschätzt, die ein gut verarbeitetes, eher seltenes Instrument suchen.
