PRS SE Custom 24 Floyd Rose 30th Anniversary LTD. - Santana Yellow 2015 ist so eine PRS, die man aus dem Koffer holt und sofort denkt: okay… Bühne. Wunderschöne Decke, flacher Hals, Floyd-Feeling - und nach unserem Fretwork spielt sie sich genauso, wie man’s sich wünscht.
Was bei dieser PRS SE Custom 24 mit Floyd Rose sofort hängen bleibt, ist die wunderschöne Wölkchenahorn-Decke - transparent in Santana Yellow, einfach ein Traum. Das ist ein seltenes Sondermodell, bei dem man merkt: hier wurde nicht gespart, weder bei Verarbeitung noch bei dem Gesamtpaket.
Der Hals ist schön flach - ein C-Profil, richtig gut gelungen. Sie liegt ganz wunderbar in der Hand und sieht dabei aus wie neu: kaum Kratzer, kaum Dings und Dongs. Dieses Santana Yellow ist genau die richtige Mischung aus dezent und knallig - edel, aber definitiv ein Hingucker, sobald Licht drauf fällt.
Das Fretwork war ab Werk okay und sie wurde wohl eher im Wohnzimmer gespielt – aber die Bünde hatten schon leichte Spuren. Da haben wir gleich Hand angelegt: Bünde abgerichtet, poliert und ein komplettes Setup gemacht. Jetzt spielt sie sich traumhaft – sauber, schnell, PRS-typisch „slick“.
Das Floyd Rose hat außerdem ein Upgrade bekommen, das ich wirklich feiere: Steckhebel statt Überwurfmutter-Gewinde. Keine Fummelei mehr, kein schlecht arretierbares Gewinde - du stellst die Beweglichkeit ein, wie du’s willst, und zum Einpacken ist der Hebel in zwei Sekunden raus.
Die PRS HFS & Vintage Bass Humbucker (mit Splitfunktion) sind original und genau diese Kombi war bei dieser LTD verbaut – und ja: die können richtig was. Von bissig und druckvoll bis zu brauchbaren Split-Sounds ist alles drin. Kurz gesagt: moderne PRS mit Charakter, Komfort und Floyd-Feeling – für Bühne, Studio oder Sofa.
