Description **
Here we have a really nice PRS SE Custom 24 from Korean production – with a carved top and the classic Tobacco Sunburst finish. A model that wins you over with its subtle elegance, balanced feel, and that typical PRS playability. It has been played, but always well cared for – no major dings or dents, just an honest guitar with character and soul.
Sonically it’s a true workhorse: we replaced the original pickups with a set of TONERIDER OCTANE humbuckers with nickel covers and Alnico 8 magnets. These things push hard, but they stay transparent – especially with gain they’re clearer and more defined than the stock set. Clean tones are a bit more mid-focused and deliver that warm, present PRS voice that instantly inspires. Both pickups are coil-splittable, which makes the guitar even more versatile.
The tremolo is fitted with a backstop system for improved tuning stability, even under heavier use. The frets were freshly leveled and polished for the very first time, so there’s still plenty of material left for many years of playing. We also gave it a full setup, a new push/pull pot, and an Alpha volume pot.
Bottom line: A classically beautiful, versatile, and honest Custom 24 that doesn’t have to hide from its expensive USA sisters – quite the opposite.
