PRS SE Floyd Custom 24 – one of the most versatile guitars I know.
That’s why I personally play this exact model myself (mine is a 2017). This one here in Scarlet Red is from 2015 and is an absolute top model from PRS Korea.
Thanks to the coil-splittable humbuckers it can roar, sing, whisper, twang and push – and with the Floyd Rose it brings both ’90s and modern metal sounds into your home and onto the stage. A real workhorse!
In my opinion, the differences between the Korean SEs and the USA models are:
• Softer fret wire
• Slight differences in the finish, which are really only noticeable to a trained eye
• Veneer instead of a real flamed maple top
• Slightly different pickups and a somewhat varying quality of the electronics (without any loss of functionality)
Still, it’s a first-class workhorse for professional musicians and the first choice for anyone who values quality, great feel, and excellent workmanship.
