Description **
This beautiful PRS SE Santana comes from the very first SE series – it was the guitar PRS used to launch the SE range in the first place. A piece of guitar history, in other words.
With its wine-red transparent finish and black pickguard, it looks understated at first – almost quietly elegant. But the diagonal fingerboard inlays immediately give it away as something other than a standard model – maybe a bit quirky, but in a charmingly special way.
The craftsmanship – as you’d expect from the early Korean PRS models – is on a very high level. The neck has a comfortable medium C profile and feels wonderful in the hand. It has been played, yes, but lovingly – no major dings or dents, just honest traces of an instrument that has lived.
We freshly leveled and polished the frets and did a full setup.
Especially exciting: it’s fitted with Thorndal boutique humbuckers – a real upgrade! These pickups deliver a balanced, open tone with defined mids and a pleasant low end. Not high-output monsters, but classy all-rounders with character.
