Description **
The PRS SE Torero is one of the most exciting models PRS ever built in the SE range – and unfortunately only for a short time. It was probably simply “too much guitar for the money.” Because everything really checks out here: a neck-through maple neck, an ebony fingerboard, a 25.5" scale length, and a real Floyd Rose tremolo with an integrated backstop. In this price class, it’s basically unimaginable.
This guitar plays like a dream: the neck is fast, smooth, and extremely comfortable, and the ebony adds attack and precision. The EMG pickups deliver exactly what you’d expect here – punchy, defined high-gain sounds, but also surprisingly good cleans with a clear foundation.
We freshly leveled the frets and set the guitar up completely. It’s ready for stage, studio, or rehearsal room – absolutely reliable, stays in tune, and can take a beating.
Visually it shows light signs of use, small scratches in the clear coat, and a tiny ding in the neck finish (see photos). Nothing dramatic and completely typical for a played guitar of this type. The truss rod cover is of course included, even if it’s missing in some pictures.
All in all, a rare, high-quality metal and rock machine with great features you hardly ever find in this class – and it’s right up there in terms of playability, too.
