Description **
This Squier Strat is in a fantastic condition. We leveled and polished the frets – which was also necessary, as with most cheaper Squier models. Now it’s really very playable.
Sure, you could say: “Just buy a better one right away!” – but this guitar already exists. You don’t want to throw it away either, so we make the best of it.
The neck profile is a slim D, and the finish is leaning towards satin. The frets are medium, the nut is made of black plastic – but it’s absolutely usable. The tremolo is decked and works. The tuners are totally fine, and the finish is top as well. Especially rare is the Black Sparkle pickguard.
FAT stands for the humbucker at the bridge – and it does sound fat! It has plenty of power, but it’s not for clean sounds. The middle and neck single coils deliver the expected sound – a bit thin, but perfect for clean chords and funky rhythm playing.
The previous owner, back then a student, got this guitar as a birthday present and played it in the school band. He obviously cherished it like the apple of his eye.
A great instrument for practicing, but also for the rehearsal room!
Sure, for the money you can already get a new Squier – but on most of them you still have to work on the frets and the nut anyway so that they play as well as this one does.
