This Squier FSR Contemporary Stratocaster Special is a true limited-run model with character, a modern look, and an exciting pickup switching setup.
The three Squier SQR™ Alnico single coils are not placed in the standard layout here – the middle pickup sits very close to the bridge pickup, which opens up completely new sound combinations. From Tele twang to classic Strat cleans to punchy, almost P90-like lead tones – it can do it all, but it’s definitely not your average, cookie-cutter Strat.
The neck has a satin finish and feels wonderfully dry – a modern medium C profile with jumbo frets that feels instantly familiar. Playability is top-notch, and the tremolo is set to float slightly – perfect for smooth vibratos.
The roasted maple neck adds stability and attack, the black stealth hardware gives it a modern vibe, and the 2-point tremolo works precisely and stays in tune.
Hardly played, almost like a demo model – a modern Strat with style, tons of sounds, and a seriously fun factor.
