Paranormal – yes, somehow it really is. This guitar is a true mix of Strat and Tele. The best of both worlds? That depends on whether you are more of a Strat or Tele player.
Feel-wise, it is closer to a Tele – mainly because of the bridge. The additional middle pickup, however, clearly moves it sound-wise in the direction of a Strat. And that is exactly where its strength lies: versatility.
The Indian Laurel fingerboard in combination with the high-gloss maple neck feels very comfortable. The neck profile is a classic, comfortable C-shape.
At approx. 3.25 kg, it has a pleasant, moderate weight and sits well balanced on the strap.
The fretwork was the weak point: uneven and partly with different fret heights. That is why we carefully levelled the frets, recrowned and polished them. Together with a complete setup, it now plays cleanly, directly and feels really good.
Visually, it is very well done: the Chocolate 2-Color Sunburst combined with the pearl pickguard — rather rare in this version — looks classy and sets it apart from the crowd.
