Description **
Vintage V100MRPGM Greeny captures the spirit of the legendary Peter Green Les Paul surprisingly well. Super light, wonderfully playable and with that special out-of-phase sound – a Les Paul-style guitar with real character.
Here we have a so-called “Greeny” copy, inspired by Peter Green’s legendary Les Paul from his Fleetwood Mac days.
The guitar was nicely aged from the factory – right down to the details of the old tuner holes, just like on the original. The headstock is also very closely inspired by the famous model.
It features a mahogany body with a maple top and flamed maple veneer, plus a set mahogany neck with trapezoid inlays and binding.
The guitar has hardly been played and is overall in excellent condition.
Before it was allowed to really rock, however, we first gave the frets a thorough leveling and polishing – which was definitely necessary, as the factory fretwork was rather average. Now it plays really beautifully.
And the sound fits surprisingly well. The Wilkinson pickups deliver a really nice PAF-style tone, and the typical out-of-phase wiring in the middle position is also there – just like on the original “Greeny”.
On top of that, it has an extremely comfortable weight: at only approx. 3.37 kg, it is super light and therefore ideal for long rehearsals and gigs.
