Here we have the absolute top model of the S-Series in Red Viking – a very rare piece. I bought it second-hand from the original owner – a beginner whose parents decided he should learn on something really good 😄. After a year, he stopped playing, and after sitting in its case for several more years, it was time to make some room…

This guitar is a monster – perfect condition, barely played.
Anyone who has ever held an Ibanez Prestige J-Craft will know what I mean – pure perfection. An incredibly versatile professional instrument.

The S5470 is a solid-body electric guitar model in the S series, introduced in 2008 by Ibanez. Built in Japan by FujiGen as part of the high-end Prestige line, the S5470 was one of the first 24-fret S-Series models available to the public. It marked the return of Prestige S-Series production to Japan (2005–2007 models were made in Korea).

It features a mahogany body with a 5-piece maple/walnut bolt-on neck, a 24-fret Indian rosewood fingerboard with offset dot inlays, and a special pearl inlay at the 12th fret. Components include Ibanez Hot Grinder humbuckers in bridge and neck positions, an Ibanez Short Tracer single-coil in the middle, a ZR2 double-locking tremolo bridge with the removable ZPS3 tuning stabilizer, a barless Top-Lok nut, and Gotoh tuners.
