It’s hard to put into words, but I’ve known Yamaha guitars since the late ’70s, and they’ve always been something special. Yes, they’ve consistently been really good – beautifully built, reliably designed. Yamaha’s guitars have always stood out stylistically, never just following the crowd.

But somehow… they never quite had that Rock ’n’ Roll vibe – more soft romance than wild excess, if you get what I mean. Maybe it’s like comparing a Japanese T. to a blue-and-white B. – we all know which one is technically the better car. 😉

When it comes to beginner-level guitars, though, Yamaha is absolutely leading the pack.
