This product is subject to differential taxation in accordance with § 25a of the German Value Added Tax Act (UStG). Therefore, no VAT is shown. This product comes with a one-year warranty in accordance with § 438 (1) No. 3 of the German Civil Code (BGB), as it is a used item.
Fender Stratocaster American Special SB 2011
Fender American Special Stratocaster – Sunburst (2011)Here we have a classic U.S.-made Fender Stratocaster from 2011 – the Special model with a CBS-style headstock.
The large headstock was introduced back in the day so that everyone watching TV would immediately know what guitar was tearing it up on stage. 😄 (My first Fender in the late ’70s had one too – so I’ve got no problem with it, haha.)
Admittedly, most people prefer the smaller pre-CBS headstock, but this is just an honest, solid Strat with style. It has great pickups and sounds fantastic – classic Fender tones, beautifully glassy and articulate.
The neck is more of a modern C-shape, with a lightly satin finish – very comfortable to play. The guitar shows only minimal signs of use and was clearly not played much – likely kept safe and sound for most of its life.
The previous owner (born in 1946) bought it new in 2011 from the big T store to fulfill a lifelong dream. Now he’s found a lovely semi-acoustic guitar here with us – one he can also enjoy unplugged – and traded the Strat in for it.
